$2 Trip
Organizer
Create your own
two-pocket Walt Disney World trip organizer using an ordinary school
folder and common household supplies. The folder should cost
less than one dollar at your local supermarket or office supply
store.
This project can be completed in

List of
Materials 1. Printed Trip Planner pages in 5.5" by 8.5"
format 2. Pencil 3. Transparent tape 4. White glue for pockets 5. Tape measure or 12"
ruler 6. Scissors (a cutting board is optional) 7. Hole punch 8. Razor
blade or hobby knife (optional)
Step 1
Using scissors or cutting board, trim planner pages
to size. The cutting board will be much faster.
Step 2
Using the hole punch, make hole in the two gray circles marked "P/G" on each page.
Step 3
Using the pencil and ruler, draw a line straight
across the width of the folder 9 1/4" from the bottom. Draw a straight
line 6" from the left edge as well.
Cut along each line using
scissors or cutting board.
Step 4
From the folder scrap, cut two pieces each approximately 5" long and 3/4" wide. These will become the sides
of the folder's pockets.
Step 5
Fold
each piece in half lengthwise to form a "V" shape.
Step 6
Spread a small amount of glue on both sides of the crease along the length of one piece.
Do not glue the bottom of the piece. That is, if the piece forms an upside-down V, glue only
the "top" part of the V facing up, and not the bottom part facing down.
Repeat this step for the other
piece.
Step 7
Insert one of the pieces into the right-hand folder to form a pocket. The closed end of the "V" should face
to the right.
Secure with clear tape while glue dries.
Repeat using the other piece for the left-hand pocket.
The closed end of the "V" should face to the left.
Step 8
Trim
about 1/4" from the right side of the front of the paper binder. A razor
blade or hobby knife works is perfect for this task.
Step 9
After
the glue has dried, remove clear tape and insert trip planner pages into
the binder.
The organizer is now ready to hold your park passes,
maps, photos and receipts.
